Sunny & Beautiful May

Can you believe that it's May already? Time flies so fast lately - I would never imagine that in one month the official summer season will start. But I guess you can imagine that Greek summer starts much more early than in other places. Actually it has started already in our island. Me and Pete even went to the beach for the first moments of tan and ice coffee.

From now on and till November there will be tourist everywhere. As for me there are good and bad things about it. Well, speaking about the good - Corfu is finally alive! No more closed shops and tavernas - everything is open and waiting for you to come in. The second thing is beaches which are clean and ready for the season. You can order coffee or cocktails, eat delicious food next to the sea and of course swim! It may seem to you that everything is perfect, but wait a second - there are also bad things we should speak about. Firstly, it's hard to find a place to seat in cafes and shops I were enjoying all winter long. The second flaw is traffic on the road and difficulties with parking. But other than that, local shop owners who always try to speak to me English and sale something until I answer them in greek...

As you can see life in the island is interesting and fun, but sometimes as everywhere in the world has its problems. Fortunately, there is one thing which makes me to forget everything and to be happy - Sea! First of May we were celebrating International Workers' Day which is a national public holiday in Greece. However here it's mostly the day of Flowers. Pete told me that we need to go out and to Catch The May By The Tail. It's a funny Greek tradition for everybody. Well we went to one of our favorite bars - Fuego and watched the sea by drinking cofee. What a sunny and beautiful day it was - just look at the pictures. I was wearing White + Black + Pink Outfit in a chic and pretty style. Black Ribbons at the top and on the espadrilles are absolutely the same and I couldn't find a better combination.
